Greige Paint

Is it grey? Is it beige? No – it’s a beautiful marriage of both, available in a wide range of tones and ratios. Whether it’s grey with a hint of beige or an almost-beige with grey undertones, greige paint is hard to beat for neutrality.

Whatever shade it is, greige is versatile, easy going and calming. It’s often nuanced, changing depending on how lighting differs in the same room. Also known as taupe paint, it’s usually warm but can be cooler as it moves further towards grey.

As a staple neutral, greige paint looks fabulous with whites or off-whites for a pared down feel. It also works very well with natural materials and colours – from pine and oak furniture to splashes of green from plants and flowers. Always versatile, greige can also enable you to use stronger, brighter colours. And because it offers less contrast than whites and off-whites, it actually allows you to tone things down.
